The guardian newspaper describes her as “The Queen Of the Curve” because all of her buildings are curved or look like they are overlapping. Some of her first buildings had sharp angles and points; buildings such as these include the Cardiff Bay Opera House and the Fire Station in Germany. After these buildings, she designed Heydar Aliyev Center in Azerbaijan this was when her buildings began to become curvy; hence she developed her style.
Zaha Hadid’s style is deconstructivism. Deconstructivism is a development of postmodern architecture. These postmodern/deconstructivism designs can differ greatly, some may have jagged, sharp-angled edges or very curvy and overlapping exterior. The interior would generally always include neutral colours and modern looking splendor. |
